I'm a linguist teaching at the University of Utah; I received my PhD from UC Santa Cruz in 2010. My research interests are at the phonology-phonetics interface, especially in issues of phonetic grounding for formal representations and for phonological generalizations. My dissertation-related projects involve a series of experiments designed to test the perceptual and articulatory bases of certain kinds of lenition.
