I
currently work as the Telecom/IT supervisor in one of
the largest convention centers in the western United
States. My department installs and maintains the
fiber-optic, telephone, wireless, and audio/visual
infrastructure. We also provide a variety of data and
communications services to convention exhibitors. Some
of the largest and most well known conventions have
utilized our services, including:
-
American Legion
-
Novell Brainshare
-
Outdoor Retailer
-
Rotary International
-
Veterans of Foreign Wars
In
2005, I was sent by my company to Houston help with IT
and telecommunications for Hurricane Katrina refugees. I
received a letter from the president of the company.
[View] I have also seen the President of the United
States speak twice at my convention center. Both times,
I helped set up the data and communications for the
White House and the media. In 2006 I received a
certificate from the White House!
