LDS thought of the day, 3/29/2005

Immediately following his miraculous conversion, Alma the Younger spoke to the people who were present when he arose. Among the things he reminded these people was the following:

"Yea, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess before him. Yea, even at the last day, when all men shall stand to be judged of him, then shall they confess that he is God; then shall they confess, who live without God in the world, that the judgment of an everlasting punishment is just upon them; and they shall quake, and tremble, and shrink beneath the glance of his all-searching eye." (Mosiah 27:31)

I think it is often easy to forget that we will one day have to account for all of our actions, but I hope that we will take this reminded from Alma and apply it in our lives. We will one day have to face our Father in Heaven, and when that time comes, we will receive a judgement which, whether it is the judgement we desire or not, will be fair. May we live our lives in such a way that when we are judged, we will be able to honestly say we have done our best to follow Him.
