making knitting stitch markers

this was not difficult, and it worked for me.

  1. gather your supplies:
    get your supplies together
here i have a set of crimpers, beading wire, beads, and jumpers (the loop thing). i like to have at least some seed beads so that i can tie a small knot. you could also choose to use metal crimping beads instead of tying a knot.
  2. cut a length of wire. the wire should be long enough to let you grasp it to tie a knot later
cut wire long enough to tie a knot in later
  3. arange your beads and the jumper on the wire. the jumper represents the top, of course.
    arrange your beads
  4. loop the wire through the jumper and back through the beads
loop the wire back through the beads
  5. tie a knot in the two ends and pull, so that the beads are tight agains the jumper at the top and that your knot is quite closed. i made a double knot.
    tie a knot
  6. trim the wire
