- Again very slight incline until after Elliston, then very steep.
- Downhill even steeper.
- Took main St through Helena to a bike shop.
- Met some cyclists who recommended Canyon Ferry Road NE around lake, rather than 12 straight to Townsend. BAD IDEA! Route was scenic, but 40 miles longer than direct route, with bad traffic out of Helena, many hills, and dirt roads.
