Cedar Rapids has a large Czech and Slovak population. It was time for Patti to delve into her Slovakian heritage (meow meow). We made our way to Czech village and had lunch. Then we pedalled to the Czech and Slovak museum. Patti saw the sites while I fixed another broken spoke and tightened up her brakes. Someone told me that at the very spot I was working President Clinton and the Czech and Slovak Presidents stood to dedicate the museum.

I was not happy about my bike at the moment. I worried how much longer it would last. During the day my bike tire came out of alignment twice. We also had to take shelter from a pelting rainstorm. We made it to West Branch before dusk.
