My birthday included one of the best descents I've ever ridden. A four mile gradual downhill with good road and wide paved shoulder. It also included a big steak, shrimp, fish, and a couple of beers at "The Up and Up". A fancy steakhouse and bar in Pomeroy. We could have camped in the town park, but opted instead for a motel. The hills were growing, the wheat was getting greener, and the day was yet again hot and sunny.
