M00 -Computing At The "U"-
Learn to take advantage of the various computer facilities and short courses at the University of Utah!

M01 -Introduction To The Mac-
Fundamental concepts used in all Macintosh programs. Items covered include System, Finder, Windows, mouse, icons, menus, edit, save, open, print, etc.

Take this class first, as the information covered is a prerequisite for all other courses taught in the Macintosh environment.
M02 -Mac OS and Tips--
Printing requirements and strategies, managing disks and files, System- Finder. Use of Font/DA Mover to load/delete fonts and DA's, and other common utilities to customize your Mac and to safeguard against viruses.

M25 -MS Word 6.0 (part 1)-
Basic word processing operations. Topics include tabs, margins, page numbering, page preview, and printing.
Prerequisite: "Introduction To The Mac" course information.
M26 -MS Word 6.0 (part 2)-
Intermediate features. Topics include spell checking, footnotes, and multiple columns.
Prerequisite: MS Word 6.0 (part 1)
M27 -MS Word 6.0 (part 3)-
Advanced features. Topics include built-in styles, tables, and paragraphs.
Prerequisite: MS Word 6.0 (part 2)
M31 -Graphics Introduction-
Electronic drawing tools to create various kinds of illustrations for papers, technical reports and artistic appreciation. Also a ciscussion of bitmap vs. vector graphics.
Prerequisite: "Introduction To The Mac" course information.
M35 -Photoshop (part 1)-
An Introduction to Adobe Photoshop 3.0, covering fundamental techniques and concepts. This includes elementary selection, and an overview of the toolbox.
Prerequisite: "Introduction To The Mac" course information.
M36 -Photoshop (part 2)-
Describes advanced selection techniques and toolbox use, image manipulation and adjustment, masking, and filters.
Prerequisite: "Photoshop (part 1)" course information.
M44 -PowerPoint-
Introduction to powerful presentation techniques integrating text, graphics/images, sound, and video.
Prerequisite: "Introduction To The Mac" course information.
M51 - Spreadsheets with Excel (part 1)-
Basic concepts of spreadsheets: cells, row, columns, text entry, manipulating numbers and formulas in Excel.
Prerequisite: "Introduction To The Mac" course information.
M52 - Spreadsheets with Excel (part 2)-
Creating charts, databases, and macros in Excel.
Prerequisite: "Spreadsheets (part 1)" course information.
