Where are the checks and balances?

From MemoryBlog. Accountability and honor seem to be missing-in-action in certain quarters of the Bush administration, as well as an understanding of the relationship between the various branches. In Utah, the Legislature sees itself as the most equal of the three branches; in Washington, apparently we have a more imperial view–the executive is the most equal.
